Barnone in Gilbert, AZ

Moments from Barnone, another project by Joe Johnston in Gilbert, AZ. Just checked it out while in my hometown and I'm super impressed by the conversion of a barn to a maker/food space. It has everything I love (sans cocktails): hyper local brands, pizza, beer, wine and vegetables. The space is open M-Su 7am-11pm, but when I went only the beer, wine and pizza part were open. I'll have to go back to see the other spaces. Very curious to know how much it took to build out the space and what kind of rent structure they have to keep the businesses in place long term.

Questions: what craftspeople like to create in a fishbowl? I keep seeing this same kind of concept which in theory is fabulous, but in practice must not be fun for the maker. How can we create spaces that highlight craftsmanship (or art), but allow for private spaces so creators don't always need to be on display?

Also, Gilbert please give them a liquor license so I can get a cocktail next time.
